About the Event

The event titled “Yesterday’s Youth Meet Today’s Youth,” organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Keçeli, Chair of the Biology Department, and Prof. Dr. Ülkü Nihan Yazgan Tavşanoğlu, instructor of the Volunteerism course, was held in commemoration of May 19, Atatürk Commemoration, Youth, and Sports Day. As part of the event, our students enrolled in the Volunteerism course visited the İsmail Özdemir Nursing Home on May 20, 2026, between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, to meet with the residents. During the visit, the students had the opportunity to chat with our elders, listen to their life experiences, and strengthen intergenerational solidarity.
